WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Tongoy Experimental Center is located in the Coquimbo Region. For more than three decades, it has worked with demonstrative production facilities, oriented to the production of mollusks and fish –with focus on temperate water species due to their geographical location– and to the development of new opportunities for aquaculture in the macro-northern area.

What do we do?

The Tongoy Aquaculture Center has a modern infrastructure and technical production and Research and Development (R&D) capabilities aimed at the commercial production of fish and mollusks, as well as new opportunities for aquaculture in the northern part of the country. Among our activities are the diversification of Chilean aquaculture, repopulation programs, biotechnology and technical assistance.

What are we looking for?

Contribute to the development of the aquaculture industry in the north of the country, through the development and transfer of regional productive application technologies.
