Faced with the current trend of seeking early ventures containing a significant innovation component, BCI and Fundación Chile conducted a contest called “#CL: Create, release y venture“, in which more than 500 projects were presented and two were selected: “Drive Tech” and “3D Virtual Training“.
The first one is a mobile application that allows users to manage their vehicles’ safety on their own through a computer or Smartphone; the second, is a package of applications developed with latest 3D generation technology that offers various training functions for engineering tasks.
Precisely, to support, encourage and empower these entrepreneurs, Fundación Chile included the winners in its entrepreneurship platform, EmprendeFCh, giving them access to its multiple support services. Meanwhile, Banco BCI will provide financing for the winning enterprises and will support in growing their businesses with different financial tools. In this line, the bank wants to keep its promise to support the national entrepreneurship through BciNace, as the main model in the financial system for new businesses.
Juan Pablo Stefanelli, manager at Bci Banca Empresarios said “as a bank, we consider the instances such as the Pitch Day are important for the development of entrepreneurship and innovation. For this reason, together with Fundación Chile, we have worked to provide specific opportunities and create an entrepreneurship platform to support that all good ideas become real projects“.
The winning projects will be able to enhance their business by having access to CORFO funds for seed funding. “For Fundación Chile entrepreneurship is truly a development engine for the country and it is necessary to promote it through alliances with key market players. With BCI we obtained a real contribution to the economy and, in turn, this corporation shares our vision faithfully; so we are convinced that we can help unleash the potential of many entrepreneurs that will contribute to the economic and social development of Chile”, said Andrés Pesce, manager of Business and Enterprise at Fundación Chile.
