ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING FOR CHILE – 2004
m-risk and its principal solution Toresa are born from a FCh project. Currently an independent business, which provides Services in environmental innovation that monitor, manage, and support remediation work around the country.
MANDATORY REFRIGERATOR LABELING – 2008
The first result of the FCh Sustainable Energy Program, pushed forward together with the Energy Efficiency Country Program, SEC and Sernac, was a mandatory labeling in refrigerator sales within the country.
ENERGY SCENARIOS 2030
An initiative that seeks to advance through dialogue towards consensus definition of an energy public policy for Chile. FCh participates as coordinator in the pursuit of a shared vision.
Solar Panel Installation Competence Certification – 2012
FCh created the standard for the certification and validated it with the industry. Today this profile is a public good, at the industry’s disposal in ACESOL, Asociación Chilena de Energía Solar (Chilean Solar Energy Association).
EN.LIGHTEN – 2012
A United Nations Program for the Environment which seeks to accelerate the transformation of the global market through the development of a coordinated global strategy in energy-efficient lighting technology. FCh led the technical secretariat of the Ministry of Energy.
ABAR: WATER IMPROVEMENT – 2013
Innovative and cost-efficient technology from Fundación Chile, able to remove 99% of boron in potable water for urban, rural, and irrigation use. It is currently being commercialized in alliance with a multinational engineering company.
MINE CLOSURES – 2014
Environmental technologies geared towards mine closures, including water treatment, dust control, acid drainage monitoring and evaluation, environmental risk analysis and methodology design for sustainable closures.
