We seek to promote solutions to address the increasing amount of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) that is discarded, encouraging its reuse.
Together with different actors, we carried out a survey and diagnosis of the current situation of electronic waste in Chile, which will guide future actions at both citizen and business level.
The EEE are within the priority products defined by the Extended Producer Responsibility Law (known in Spanish as Ley REP).
Only 3.4% of WEEE are treated.
It is estimated that by 2027 we will generate 14kg of electronic waste per capita in Chile.
If we do not generate a change, it is estimated that by 2027 the amount of electronic waste will increase by 46.5%
