Abalon

The abalone is a mollusc called gastropod, which in the East is really admired for being considered a delicatessen, and also symbolizes family prosperity. In the Japanese market the prices rise according to their texture, color and flavor.

In 1989 we carried out the first farming in the country, in the Tongoy and Chiloé areas. In 1993 the subsidiary company Semillas Marinas was created, where we participated in seed production of California red abalone, while the company Campos Marino was created for the fattening.

We also participated in the SPASA (South Pacific Abalone) company, producer of seeds and fattening of green abalone and California red abalone in Los Molles.
