Common framework
Development of a common framework for observing competencies in entrepreneurship and green talent.
The initiative promoted by the Regional Government of Atacama and Fundación Chile seeks to strengthen the education-to-employment ecosystem of the Atacama Region by building institutional capacities across different specialty sectors, such as energy, tourism, forestry and agriculture, fishing and aquaculture, among others.
Since 2024, the Atacama Region has had a Regional Development Strategy looking toward 2034, which is the region’s main planning instrument, aimed at promoting the sustainable, inclusive, and innovative development of the territory.
It is a strategic roadmap for the next ten years that outlines pillars and objectives across the economic, social, environmental, and institutional dimensions, with a territorial, participatory, and multisectoral perspective.
Its design integrates contributions from citizens, the public and private sectors, academia, and social organizations, coordinating common efforts to improve people’s quality of life across all provinces of Atacama.
Under this context, the need arises to modernize technical and higher education, aligning it with market demands and technological advances, with a particular focus on renewable energy, sustainable tourism, and other emerging fields.
This project seeks to contribute to the improvement of education-to-employment pathways based on the practical implementation of the following dimensions of the Green Talent competency framework developed by FCh:
Development of a common framework for observing competencies in entrepreneurship and green talent.
Student projects that impact productivity and innovation at the regional level.
Transform young people’s educational pathways to take on the region’s challenges.
Build capacities for a training model based on cooperation and virtuous connections with the productive sector.
This initiative contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals:
