What does the Net Zero and Nature Positive economy initiative seek?
The initiative seeks to strengthen Chilean institutions, public policies, and regulations to accelerate development pathways with net-zero emissions and nature-positive outcomes. In addition to:
- Reinforce the coherence, alignment, and complementarity (and their measurement) of the various public-private instruments and tools related to climate change.
- Incorporate nature dimensions into the climate change financing strategy to transition to a net-zero nature-positive financing strategy.
- Promote a global decarbonization roadmap for energy demand (industrial, domestic, commercial, and public energy).
- Build capacity and raise awareness about energy demand decarbonization alternatives.
