Green Talent Tarapacá
Context

Context

The Tarapacá Region currently faces the challenge of aligning technical and vocational education with labour market demands, incorporating principles of sustainability, circular economy, and digitalisation. This is because:

  • Low alignment with productive sectors: The technical and vocational offering is not aligned with the mining and renewable energy sectors.
  • Skills: Lack of skills in sustainability, circular economy, and digitalisation.
  • Lack of opportunities: 30% of trained young people migrate due to a lack of local opportunities.
  • Disconnect between education and the labour market.
  • Shortage of specialised talent in key sectors.
  • Difficulty attracting sustainable investment.
