Context

The Redes Futuro Técnico Central-North Zone (Coquimbo and Valparaíso) and Metropolitan South are a key initiative within the modernization agenda for Technical and Vocational Education promoted by the Ministry of Education, through its Technical and Vocational Executive Secretariat, in strategic alliance with Fundación Chile.

These networks seek to address the territorial challenges of Technical and Vocational Secondary Education (EMTP) by creating collaborative spaces to identify opportunities and generate joint solutions.

Objectives

How do they address the challenges of technical and vocational education?

By promoting a culture of collaboration among diverse actors and institutions within the Technical and Vocational ecosystem, in order to improve the quality and relevance of EMTP, fostering pathways aligned with the potential of the territory and with students’ interests and life aspirations.

Through these networks, the aim is to:

  • Identify and strengthen collaborative working networks.
  • Strengthen existing nodes.
  • Implement development plans for teachers.
  • Coordinate relationships with higher education institutions, companies, and public services.
  • Generate spaces for work-based practice and integrated learning.
  • Facilitate connections with higher education institutions.
